What Are The Prognosis And Precautionary Measures For COPD?
WHAT LEVEL OF CARE CAN WE PROVIDE
TO HIM AT THIS TIME
See below!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about the different disease conditions that your husband got diagnosed of. In all, this means that he is sick and woud need to do things differently so as to maintain his life at the best possible state nd prevent complications for as long as possible.
HTN, CAD, Hypercholesterolemia: These are heart and blood vessel diseases. They constitute great risk factors for complications like heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, decreased blood supply to many body organs, etc. What he needs to do is to stop smoking(if he does), reduce alcohol to very low levels, eat healthy with enough fruits, vegetable and fibers, avoid excess oil in food, minimal salt consumption and regular physical exercise to keep the body fit. Above all, he has to be compliant with his medications. Even if they were to make him feel somewhat funny, I will suggest that he never stops but reports to his doctors for the concerns to be addressed. If he is over weight, please he needs to seriously work on cutting down on his weight.
COPD: This is a chronic lung disease. NO SMOKING is the watch word. Staying strong through regular exercise would be very helpful. Any further smoking would aggravate his health and lung functions.
I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish your husband well and a speedy recovery. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications should need be.
