What Are The Repercussions Of Azithromycin Overdose In A Child?

Question: My 5 year old son was put on Azithromycin oral suspension(200mg* per 5mL) for strep throat. He was to take 5mL daily for 5 days. He accidently took 2 doses the first day and another 2 doses the second day. Can he overdose on that? What should we do?
Brief Answer:
Azithromycin
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
Though this amount was higher than the prescribed dosage, Nothing bad is going to happen and there is nothing to do. In a small number of cases, there is some stomach upset. Still, other than hydration, there is nothing to do.
You do not have to be overly concerned.
