Brief Answer:
Blood levels needs to be checked

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Sulfasalazine drug levels needs to be closely monitored, if it goes beyond 50 micrograms/litre it is related to serious adverse effects and the most worrying amongst these are liver dysfunction and kidney dysfunction.

Here is how you should go about it

1. Meet your GP and ask for drug levels of Sulfasalazine
2. Along with this please get a liver function test and renal function test
3. Watch for drop in urine output per day and also discoloration of stools

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

I wish you good health

Regards
