What Are The Repercussions Of Taking Zithromax And Clindamycin?

Very likely this is nothing to worry- see the explanation below please
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking at healthcaremagic.
I carefully read your question and understand your concern.
Sometimes we do prescribe 2 antibiotics at a time when there is a need but generally Zithromax and clindamycine are not prescribed together as they have very similar effect against bacteria.
Very likely you will be OK and nothing to worry but please because there is not any need to take them together stop taking both of them.
Sometimes overusing antibiotics might cause diarrhea- if this happens than make sure you avoid mild during those times and also fatty food and you can take some lactobacili to help the bowel flora recover quickly (in case you develop diarrhea). If no improvement than you will need to see a doctor.
Sometimes fungal infections might be a side effects due to antibiotics. if you develops 1-2 spots on your skin than an antifungal cream (similar to the creams used for athlete's foot) can be applied twice a day on the area and if no improvement you will need to see the doctor. if there is generalized rash you will need to see the doctor directly.
Both these medications are metabolized in liver so if you have any chronic liver disease you might see some affect on the liver also with jaundice, right upper abdominal pain- if none of these symptoms there is nothing to worry, otherwise you will need again to see the doctor.
So to conclude it is very likely you will be fine and nothing to worry but please stop taking both of them and see a doctor in case you develop any of the above symptoms.
I hope this is helpful and answers to your questions but feel free to reply in case of anymore clarification is needed on this.
Kind Regards
