Brief Answer:
No harm

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

You can relax as your child will be safe. MMR is normally administered at 15 months and 5 years. A 4 week gap is enough to give a second dose if a child is traveling to a high-risk place.

Your son should not need the 2nd dose at 5 years.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks

Thank you! I was concerned due to the vaccine being given at the wrong age
Sorry to bother you again. I know mistakes happen and there have been no adverse reactions. Should I report this incident, not sure if the nurse was due to her saying there wasn't any harm in extra vaccine

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

You did not bother me, madam. You may ask as many questions as you like. I am here to address your concerns.

In my view, if the vaccine was not specifically meant for travel or exposure prophylaxis then it must be reported as you were lucky to escape in such a time where the vaccine is harmless. Another vaccine at improper timing may cause harm and should be avoided.

In my opinion , the incident should be reported.

Thanks.
