What Are The Risks Of Developing STD Post Oral Sex?

default
Posted on Wed, 2 Mar 2016
Question: Unfortunately, as sick as I am to say this, I received oral sex using a condom from someone I don't know a few days ago and my current partner is pregnant. I see nor feel any symptoms of an std, but I know many stds don't show symptoms right away. I didn't see any obvious signs the person who gave me the oral sex had any issues (soars, rashes, etc).

How likely is it that I could have transmitted something?

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely, and chances are non-existent in my opinion

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. If there were no visible signs or symptoms of any STD's in the partner you had sexual relations with, along with the fact that you were given oral sex with a condom on, I think the chances of you getting any infection is close to non-existent.

You also asked "How likely is it that I could have transmitted something?", did you mistype this and you meant 'How likely is it that I could have contracted something?" or are you worried about transmitting it to your partner who is pregnant?

Either way, my answer would be:

+Very unlikely you could have contracted an infection
+Highly unlikely you can transmit it to your partner as I do not think you have contracted any infection in the first place

I hope I have explained things in a manner best understood by you. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
