What Are The Side Effects For Prolonged Use Of Indocap?
Question: I AM TAKING ONE INDOCAP SR DAILY SINCE LAST 15 MONTHS PLS LET ME KNOW ABOUT SIDE EFFECTS OF THIS
Brief Answer:
The biggest concern is kidney injury.
Detailed Answer:
hi hdangica,
welcome to HCM.
Indocap is a Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug, a well known pain killer.
It may cause gastric upset, ringing sounds in ear and abdominal symptoms on long term usage; but the biggest concern is kidney injury.
Continuous intake is not recommended. If chronic pain is a concern, you need to change to much safer drugs like acitaminophen or tramadol in conssultation with your doctor.
Physiotherapy and lumbar belt might offer some help.
Hope i am clear.

Brief Answer:
two options.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As i told, there are two options.
1. you may try acitaminophen (paracetamol) which is freely available over the counter. This is a mild drug and sometimes can be effective, so you can try.
2. opiate drugs like tramadol. A good option, yet safe for pain. But, for this drug, you need a prescription from your GP
Along with either of the two, taking neuro drugs like gabapentin or pregabalin will be very effective. For these also you need a prescription from your GP as they are not available over the counters.
You may try option 1 and if not satisfied with the results, consult your GP and get prescription for tramadol and neurodrugs.
Hope i am clear.
