Cannabis is stimulant and increases dopamine level in brain. It leads to number of side effects that varies from person to person and also depends upon dose. The major side effects include alteration of conscious perception, increase appreciation of humor, metacognition, introspection, increase sensuality, increased libido, abstract or philosophical thinking, disruption of linear memory, depression and paranoia or anxiety. Physical effects of cannabis use include increased heart rate, dry mouth, reddening of the eyes, a reduction in intra-ocular pressure etc.
