What Are The Side Effects Of Monocef O CV?
No both are entirely different drugs..
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,
No, even though the primary genre is Cephalosporin in both of them but still they are entirely different..
Monocef is Ceftriaxone which is only for parenteral(I.V) administration while Monocef O CV is Cefpodoxim and Clavulanic acid combination and available as Tablet form..
I think your referring to the tablet Monocef O CV here, it's relatively safe drug considering your not allergic to it..
Any medications come with some side effects, but it's the benefits which outweigh the risk, since your already been prescribed this, your doctor must've examined you also prior to this, so don't worry and take it as advised..
Let me know if there's any further queries..
Take Care
Kind Regards
please provide pictures of the strip..
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back XXXXXXX
It's Monocef O CV 200 mg only, and if your having any strip of the other one (Monocef CV 200) then please upload a picture of it at the reports section so that I can take a closer look at it..
Furthermore, to avoid any such confusion, it's always advisable to stick to the generic names, i.e. CEFPODOXIM / CLAVULANIC ACID (200/125) mg in this scenario, simply because there are numerous varieties of the brands available in the market and every other day some new brand names come up , which obviously create confusion..
Thus it's always advisable to read carefully the generic names and the drug strength(which mostly remain unchanged) and if find it same then take it regardless of the brand names, unless specified by the treating doctor..
I hope you've understood now, please let me know if there's any further doubts..
Take Care
Kind Regards
