What Are The Side Effects Of Nexito?
There is no difference between nexito and rexipra
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXX,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I have read your query and understand your concerns.
I like to inform you that recent feelings of being unwell are probably not related to change of medications. In fact both rexipra and nexito are same medicine from two different companies and contain escitaopram. I mean to say that salt in both medicines are same and there is no difference.
Feelings of panic attack can be part of disorder for which you are taking medicine or due to skipping of sos medicine which was probably prescribed for acute anxiety attacks.
After 10 weeks (2 month rexipra and 2 weeks nexito) of use escitalopram is generally safe and not associated with any significant serious side effects although it may have mild gastrointestinal symptoms.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

I think higher dose should be used
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.
Although it is difficult for me to predict what is happening with your body but from the available description it appears that you need probably higher dose as 10 weeks is sufficient time for this medicine to work.
The second option is to augment the nexito with low dose of atypical anti psychotics for example olanzapine 2.5 mg or risperidone 1 mg.
Considering your earlier history of failure of paxidep one of the above option should be exercised at this level.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.
I think continue with same dose
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Thanks for follow up.
I think sticking to 10 will be suffice for you and no increase in dose is necessary at this moment. Skipping the dose may create problem as withdrawal symptoms tend to occur with these medicines.
I will take this opportunity to explain that only gradual reduction is viable option to get rid from any medicines and sudden stoppage may cause more problems than any benefits.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.

I don't understand rationale for rexipra FX
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back t me.
I do not understand the rationale for moving to rexipra fx while you were doing well with rexipra alone.
In fact rexipra fx contains another drug along with escitalopram. The new drug helps many of the patients but has no value for those who do well with escitalopram alone.
Having said this I think you can discuss with your doctor to move back to paxil as it has shown best response for you till date.
I do not mean that rexipra is not that good but the need of every patient differs and that should be considered.
I hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards.
It will take one to two weeks
Detailed Answer:
Dear Dutta,
Thanks for follow up and clarifying about rexipra fx.
As I said above fx (flupenthixol) part helps in most patients and similarly was helping you.
Regarding time duration it will take one to two weeks to show the desirable effect. Although I must clarify that this is the minimum duration which is applicable for you.
Having said this my earlier suggestion to return back to paxil should be discussed with your doctor.
I hope this helps you.
Thanks and regards.
why are you suggesting returning back to Paxil ? is paxil more effective than rexipra fx ? i am actually staying alone and circumstances are such that i cannot go and stay with parents now . so i am getting worried .
Paxil and rexipra from same class but act differently for different patients
Detailed Answer:
Dear Dutta,
Thanks for your genuine question.
First of all Paxila and rexipra are antidepressant and from same class and act in similar way. So if you ask me on theoretical basis there is no difference other than side effects.
Every patient responds in different way to different anti depressants. From the past experience we know that you had better response to paxil than rexipra that makes me to think to go back for paxil. It is not about superiority of one or another drug, it is about our response to medicine that matters.
As you know in past you had good response to single medicine but at present you are struggling even after taking two medicines (rexipra fx contains escitalopram and flupentixol) and surely one was not enough (escitaopram).
I hope this gives you required understanding.
Thanks.
