Rasalect containing the active ingredient rasagiline is a selective monoamine oxidase B inhibitor (MAOI-B) type of drug & is used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as tremors, stooped posture, sudden switching between normal movement and stiffness and to improve the patient's range of motion to help them walk, dress and exercise.Common side effects include dizziness, joint pain, heartburn, nausea, fever, muscle pain, dry mouth, and stomach/abdominal pain. It is not a muscle relaxant.
