Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.

Naltrexone (Revia) is a standard, safe, and effective medication to reduce cravings for alcohol. It can be an important adjunct to attending AA meetings, which is the most effective way of maintaining sobriety. Typically naltrexone 50mg is taken daily. It requires an in-person evaluation by a doctor to prescribe. I highly recommend this medication and recommend you visit a local doctor to evaluate you for prescribing it.
