How Long Does It Take For The Vivitrol Shot To Wear Out?
Hello, I am on Vivitrol for alcohol dependency and I have to have oral surgery this week, I have come to learn that the Vivitrol shot is also used for opiate dependency. I obviously need a small dosage of painkillers for the surgery but I don t want to be in tremendous amounts of pain due to the blockage of the opiates. How long until the vivitrol shot wear out? Its been exactly 4 weeks to the day today that I got the vivitrol shot.

This drug is normally eliminated within 5-10days after administration. it is no longer present in your system and would not interfere with the action of opiates if used after surgery for pain management.
