What Are The Side Effects Of Codeine?
Question: Hello:
I recently asked your doctors if it is possible to test positive for opiates on a drug screen test if i ate a XXXXXXX seed bagel 2 to 3 hours before the test. The initial question was answered "Yes" that can happen. I have been clean and sober for 8 months not taking any cough medicine or pain meds. My follow up question is could the test come back positive with a reading of 200 nanagrams..my reading was roughly 150 nanagrams of codeine. The follow up question was never answered..please help thank you. From my understanding, if i took something else the opiate reading would come back much higher.

If you took a drug of abuse, it would have been clearly higher than what was reported. Please, what is the exact worry about this XXXXXXX creed and the drug test? Is it juts for curiosity purposes or there are some other concerning thoughts about this?

Thank you. I am on probation and was about to get off, but on my last drug test about 3 hours before the test i unfortunately ate a XXXXXXX seed bagel and the nanograms of codeine came back at roughly 153 nanograms of opiate after going to the lab. I promise you i have not taking anything containing codeine. From my research, eating a XXXXXXX seed bagel 2 to 3 hours before a drug test can create a positive for codeine / opiate in the 100 to 200 nanogram range with i tried to explain to my probation officer. It is of great concern...so it is in your opinion eating a XXXXXXX seed bagel loaded with XXXXXXX seeds 2 to 3 hours before a drug test..could it create a reading of 153 nanograms of codeine?
