FEMILON STOPS PERIOD ON CONTINUOUS INTAKE.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up query.
1) Femilon would stop your period for certain time only (6 months) if you take them continuously without a break. It causes temporary cessation of cycle and controls excessive or heavy bleeding
2) Continuous hormonal treatment is very effective for endometriosis. It doesn't cure endometriosis totally but reduces pelvic pain by stopping regular periods for short time and prevents endometriosis from getting worse.
They temporarily inhibits ovulation by acting on ovaries. When you don't ovulate you don't have regular periods and when you take hormonal pills continuously you should have periods rarely or not at all. Since periods can cause pain for anyone with endometriosis, stopping it usually improves pain.
Hope, I have answered your query. If you don't have any query, you can close the discussion.
All the best. Good luck.
