What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Flohale, Asthalin And Nebulization Together?

Question: Hi. My daughter is 2.5 years. She got sudden breathlessness at night and we started giving her nebulization. Next day we visited doctor and he prescribed flahale + asthalin repsules for nebulization. However, he did not mention any dosage. We got the medicine from pharm and we were given 2 mg flahale and 2 mg asthalin. We gave her this combination 3 times already and later realized that the flahale dosage is too high for her (15 kg weight). Not sure if there will be any major side affect and should we continue to nebulization with 0.5 mg dosage. We have a long flight next day ... Traveling overseas.

Thanks for asking on this platform

Flohale contains fluticasone a steroid.The inhalational form of this medicine is safe and has very little side effect even with high dosage when used for short duration.Low dose is recommended as when high dose taken for long duration may cause growth retardation,bone problem,facial changes and some hormonal problem.
I won't get worried for this dose.Very rare side effect when taken in high dosage (more than 10 mg) may cause irritability and low sugar.
The dose for this age is 0.5 mg/dose.You may continue with same without any worry.
Dose of Asthalin is adequate for this age.
