What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Levipil-500 Regularly?

here is the information that may help you
Detailed Answer:
dear,
Welcome to HCM.
As I understand from your question, you want to know if taking Levipil 500 has any side effects if taken regularly.
levetiracetam is a one of the commonly prescribed anti convulsant drug and in certain psychiatric mood disorders. Generally the treatment is taken for longer duration and in cases even for life long.
The immediate side effects of leviteracetam could range from Nausea, vomitting, gastric upset, headache, sedation, dizziness, mood changes, etc to more severe effects like XXXXXXX jhonson syndrome, hypersensitivity rash presented as fever, chills, rashes, breathlessness, itching, etc.
caution regarding the dosing in patients with compromised renal and hepatic function.
If one suspects such symptoms it is advisable to consult local physician immediately.
A sudden discontinuation of drug especially when taking for prolong duration can precipitate convulsions, euphoria, mood changes etc, therefore any changes regarding drug intake pattern should ONLY BE ON DOCTORS ADVISE.
It is important for me to know the condition for which you have been prescribed this drug, duration, total dosage of the drug. It is impractical on my part to give you any suggestions regarding its use, as the information provided by you here appears inadequate.
Do consult your treating doctor before any changes in drug use.
Hope to have given you desired information.
Feel free to followup for any queries.

CONSULT YOUR TREATING DR BEFORE ANY CHANGE IN MEDS
Detailed Answer:
Dear,
thanks for the reply.
As i understand you are taking levepil and stator F since 2011.
The lacunar infarcts that you have had in brain lowers down the seizure threshold, therefore person with brain injury is vulnerable for convulsions. It why the doctor has put you on anti convulsant drug of levepil, that is to prevent convulsions. If your convulsions are controlled on levepil DO NOT CONSIDER STOPPING THE DRUG, as any change or discontinuation of the drug may precipitate convulsion. A change of drug can only be thought if there are serious side effects and only on consultation of your treating doctor. Hope that settle your first query.
Secondly, stator F is a lipid lowering drug that is given to prevent any deposition of cholesterol in blood vessels. Adequate vitamin supplements needs to be taken to prevent fat soluble vitamin deficiencies.
Again my advice would be to consult your treating doctor before any changes in the medication.
If you are having any complaints sir, you are most welcome for consultation.
Regards,
