Brief Answer:
Safe.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

If you have regular 28-30 day cycles, you are likely to have ovulated around the 1st of November and hence, are in your fertile period.

To conceive, complete penetration and ejaculation is not necessary. Pre-ejaculate deposited on the vulva is sufficient during the fertile period since it contains enough sperm.

Since you have taken the emergency pill you are amply protected. The pill has many actions which come into force depending on the phase of the menstrual cycle when it is taken. It can stop ovulation, prevent ascent of sperms and make the endometrium hostile for implantation. However, if implantation has already occurred, it cannot help. Implantation occurs a week after fertilization. This is not likely in your case.

The emergency pill contains high dose of hormone and hence can cause the symptoms you are experiencing. It can also induce some withdrawal bleed and delay the next natural period by a week or two. Please see an expert for further help if you do not see your next period even after ten days after it is due.

Hope I have clarified your query. Please feel free to contact for further help. I will be glad to do so.

regards,
Shanti.V.
