std is unlikely
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
since you've had unprotected sex a year ago and you've been tested negative, the chances of having HIV or herpes are very low (if any). If this lesion on your tonsil appeared recently (that is almost one year after the incident) then this is not a reason to worry.
I have to admit that I can't see very clearly what's going on inside your mouth because the lighting is not strong enough. It seems like a white lesion on the tonsil and a red throat. Both are common findings in various upper respiratory tract infections and do not indicate STD. At this time of year, upper respiratory tract infections are very common. If you can provide a better lighted and focused photo, I'll be glad to have another look!
The best thing you can do right now is to visit your doctor for clinical examination. Your doctor should be able to reassure you by watching more closely than I can. The photo is not equivalent of the real thing!
If your doctor suspects other potential causes like candida for example then further testing might be required. Otherwise it has to be considered an ordinary upper respiratory tract infection.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
You can contact me again, if you'd like any clarification or further information.

I went to the dr and told me it's an infection because of my sinuses and sore throat and I asked him if it's std he told me no cloud he be wrong he told me std will be different
Could he be wrong since my throat is hurting me
Should I allay fears of std
I don't know if it was there but I had several sore throat this year and I been cheaked a after the oral sex 3 months and it's negative strip throat Abs been checked on my throat very once and a while I guess the dr should see it
it looks like an ordinary infection
Detailed Answer:
I've seen the second photo, which is not very well focused on your tonsils but as vague as it may be, it doesn't look suspicious. It looks like an ordinary upper respiratory tract infection. The rest of the symptoms are also suggestive of a common viral infection. You should be fine in a few days.
Kind Regards!
doesn't seem like STD
Detailed Answer:
In medicine you can only estimate the probability of a fact. You can never be 100% certain. But your case does not seem like an STD. If you'd like to be more certain you can ask your doctor to order tests for you. I'm sure they'll be negative!
Kind Regards!
I'm just scared that std decide to show up after a year
most STDs manifest a few days to few weeks after transmission
Detailed Answer:
Most STDs do manifest their presence within days to weeks from transmission. Some STDs may present with symptoms resembling common infections. AIDS may become symptomatic even years after the initial event but a primary infection is expected from days to weeks after transmission too. Also a negative test one year after the event makes sure that no transmission occurred. You should be reassured that in your case the chances of any STD is very very low but as I said before you can ask your doctor to conduct tests for further reassurance!
Kind Regards!
there's no "checkup" which may show STDs
Detailed Answer:
Common "check-up" tests don't include STDs unless specifically ordering them. HIV for example is not done without the patient's written consent. The rest of the tests are too specific to be included in a check-up. Of course I don't know the policy of the company you work for. If you'd like to inform me about the tests, I'll be able to tell you whether such a test is included.
Kind Regards!
My friend told hiv included and Heptites c
HIV and hepatitis C may remain "silent"
Detailed Answer:
Both HIV and hepatitis C may not manifest their presence. Since you've had tests for HIV you'll be negative. I don't know if you were also tested for hepatitis C (HCV). HCV has an incubation time of 14-180 days (average 45), which means that a negative tests after that time (and even earlier) is reassuring about your current status.
Kind Regards!
I don't know...
Detailed Answer:
I couldn't possibly know that. Since they're asking for HCV, I guess that they'll be asking for hepatitis B too, which is more commonly transmitted sexually compared to HCV.
no concerns...
Detailed Answer:
Your main problem is anxiety about it, not the "disease" itself. You've got to realize that your symptoms are very common and are usually caused by commonly occurring bacteria or viruses. Nobody can guaranty that you've never acquired a STD but these symptoms do not constitute a reason for concern.
But I've told you before, you can test for various STD, if that will bring you peace of mind. There is no serious reason to do so, but you seem to be overly concerned about it, so just do it!
I can't be more reassuring and perhaps it would be wrong to do so... No doctor can ever be 100% certain about anything but you can't feel anxious whenever you have common symptoms. If all people tested for STDs every time they had your symptoms, then there wouldn't be enough labs to do them!
Kind Regards!

better picture, same opinion!
Detailed Answer:
This is a much better picture but I don't see anything strange on it either. Besides that I've already told you that even STDs can present with similar pictures. The fact is that a patient with a swollen throat with exudate and nasal congestion is most likely having a common viral infection.
I can't emphasize that more!
Kind Regards!
