What Are The Signs And Symptoms Of Throat Cancer?

Question: I am a male 69 years old in great health, I have to clear my throat constantly and my voice is becoming raspy and horse, I read that in mybe a symtom of throat cancer.
Brief Answer:
it is possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
hoarseness may indeed be caused by cancer. Throat cancer is not the only type that may cause it. Thryroid and some forms of lung cancer may also do so. Other potential causes may include benign diseases like the formation of nodules on the vocal cords (caused by overuse of the voice cords) or infections (inflammation of the area). The first thing to do is to visit an ENT specialist for clinical examination. The ENT specialist can examine your vocal cords, detect abnormalities and guide you further. If there's nothing wrong with the cords then an ultrasound scan of the neck (thyroid and soft tissues) and chest X-ray may help to gather more clues.
Kind Regards!
