Brief Answer:
Listed all the causes for you sir, need an USG, CT scan or MRI next

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. There are a few conditions that can present with an enlarged thyroid but in most of them, the thyroid hormones will also be abnormal (not always, but most times). Let me go ahead and list all the conditions for your reference, they are:

+Goiter: Enlargement of the thyroid gland, usually caused due to a deficiency of iodine in the diet; an ultrasound can diagnose it

+Grave's disease: Occurs when the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the thyroid gland. Most common physical symptoms include an enlarged thyroid gland, bulging eyes, and rapid pulse and increase blood pressure; but usually is also accompanied by high levels of T4 and low TSH hormones

+Thyroid nodules: Growth in or on the thyroid gland; can be seen on an ultrasound and diagnosis can be confirmed

+Pregnancy: Results in various fluctuations in the body, and the thyroid can also be enlarged during pregnancy

+Hashimoto's disease: In this also, the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the thyroid gland, resulting in the gland losing its ability to produce hormones

+Cancer: Extremely rare

As you have not mentioned her to be exhibiting any symptoms, and her thyroid hormones have returned a normal result (please do share the result with me as well), then the next best step would be an ultrasound, CT scan or MRI of the neck which will provide us with important information and also a more concrete diagnosis.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.
