there are typical signs of appendicitis which are seen in 90% of cases and those are: pain which starts around the umbilicus and then moves in next 8-24 hours to right lower quadrant of abdomen. it is in the half distance between umbilicus and anterior superior illiac spine. Pain is usually associated with nausea and vomiting, occasionally fever and weakness. Pain is constant but aggravated on pressure.
signs may be atyipical with pain in the middle stomach, pubic region or around the liver.
Diagnosis can be ruled out by ultrasound, blood tests and physical examination so if you have those sign,you need to visit er because appendicitis is surgical problem and should be managed within 2.days after the onset of symptoms. Wish you good health. Regards
