Alzheimer's disease can be diagnosed using a physical examination and an MRI or CT scan of the brain to look for brain-related atrophy. The MRI and/or CT scan will be most accurate in diagnosing/ruling out Alzheimer's.

But I would also like to add, taking your age and sex into consideration your doctor may want to rule out a few other conditions that can also cause memory issues like:

+Thyroid abnormalities
+Depression
+Blood coagulation abnormalities
+Parkinson's disease
+Hormonal imbalances (especially common in women)
