Is Pro Disc Implant And Disc Hernia Related?

I had a Pro Disc C implant at C5-6 and the disc is subsiding into C5 taking with it the endplates . My last myleogram showed severe compression on the C5-6 nerve roots. Quadrilateral space syndrome and atrophy of teres minor. Myleogram showed protrusion of left hypopharyngeal area. How is this all related?

Hi,

Yes, it can all be related to spinal cord compression at C5 - C6. You need to see your operating surgeon, to see if further intervention will help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kampana, General & Family Physician
