What Are The Symptoms Of HIV?
Question: Dear doctor,
I had unprotected sex with one lady on 14th of May and 28th of May and from 29th may onwards I suffers with frequent and burning urination with lower back pain. I met with Urologist and he diagnosed me with UTI and prescribed me alfoo,livoflox,doxy and signoflame for 6 weeks still i am having these medicines. After started having all this medicines I am quite ok , means I don't get lower back pain and frequent urination but from few days my left rib cage front and back pains a lot and mostly in the night and in the morning. I have done CT at the earlier stage on 1st of May which was ok but after this pain when I have done USG. The USG report says I have ranal calculi in left interpole 4 to 5mm each. And while urinating I do feel some pain some time. Also after masturbation I feel some burning feeling.
I have done two hiv taste also one on 5th of XXXXXXX and other on 30th of XXXXXXX and both test came negative but still I am worried . I feel tired or lost and unable to concentrate on my work. Please advise Am I anxious or suffering from hiv??

HIV testS (Antibody detecting test) are conclusive after the window period, that is 12 weeks after the high risk contact. So the negative HIV tests could not be conclusive. It has to be repeated after 12 weeks.
Burning sensation of urine is a symptom of urethritis (lower urinary tract) and not usually due to upper urinary tract infection or a kidney stone. As you had unprotected sex, urethritis has to be excluded by an urinary investigation. If there is no urethritis, consummation of plenty of water would relieve your burning sensation.
Pain near rib cage may be due to renal stone also. Feeling tired is not specific for any diagnosis and may be due to a psychological upset for the fear of STD/HIV.
Consult your physician and tell your history. He/she will guide you for further management.

I have done several urin tests which came normal an in one test a trace of protin in the urin. I dont get burning sensation alsways. It comes some time mostely after masturbation. Also i feel alwyas hungry.Pls could u give me more details about hiv symptoms.

Urine examination is normal means that you are free from urethritis and urinary tract infection. Consummation of adequate water would relieve your problem.
If you have burning sensation after masturbation, then have a seminal examination for the presence of pus cells and if necessary a culture and sensitivity test. A prostatic massage and examination of the massage fluid also will help to rule out a reproductive tract infection. If everything is alright, ignore, you will become alright soon.
Feeling hungry is not a symptom for HIV. Diabetes Mallitus has to be ruled out. Earliest HIV manifestations can occur only after 4-6 weeks after the infection as an ordinary 'FLU' like syndrome with fever body pain, sore throat, lymph node enlargement etc. only with 50% of the infected. After this almost all the infected will remain symptom free till 5-7 years or more after the infection till their immune system goes beyond dangerous level. Then a fever lasts for more than a month, recurrent loose motion, TB, Lung infection, brain infection can follow. But the HIV test after 12 weeks only is confirmatory.

I have gone throught diabetese taste and the reports are normal. My urologiest suggested me to have livoflox, alfoo,doxy and k mac syrup for 6 weekas and he said it is UTI. Dose UTI spreads in unprocted sex???
Please suggest i do get pain only in left rib cage, left throat and left testical. Is it due to anexity or ranal calculas.
Also the lady with whom i had unprocted sex is absolutely fine.

Having medicines prescribed by doctor but still feeling pain in left rib cage(front and back),both the testicals and in penice. In the penice i can feel if i touch the penice.
Also have pain in left ear and throat what docter dignosed as infection and after having medicine for 2 days it is vanished.
The frequent urination in not having now .but the burning feeling is still there.

I went through the investigation reports. Except the triglycerides of the lipid profile and few hormone disturbances, other tests are within normal limits.
Drinking adequate water would relieve the burning sensation during urination. You just consult a surgical specialist for your testicular pain and rib cage pain. Testicular pain may be due to a condition called Epididymitis and it needs further investigation and different management. An ultra sound scan and an Xray would clear what exactly problem with your rib cage.
