What Are The Symptoms Of Flatulence?
I have experienced this before however not for this period of time.
Could it be a strained stomach muscle as I was doing some carrying and it developed the next day. The articles I was carrying were not heavy, however it is not in my usual regime.
I would be very interested in your thoughts.
Many thanks in anticipation.
Sincerely
Pat Roney
Need to look into back muscle sprain.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX Roney,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. The abdominal muscles, back muscles and flank muscles are all important for a proper posture.
2. Bloated abdomen can affect posture, however, it should be associated with flatulence.
3. Carrying a heavy object, if it has strained the muscle, can give a loose feeling like the abdomen. However, it is usually the back, which is affected.
4. Try some stretching exercises, specifically, can you lift your legs in a straight position, lying back. If not, possible back muscle sprain.
5. Posture during sitting and fiber diet plus probiotics (if flatulence is present) will be helpful. If any pain is present, rest is necessary.
Hope it helps.

I do not have any pain or discomfort in my back.
What is mean't by "loose" stomach. My stomach is tight as stated.
My stomach hurts when pressed and I have to walk down steps one at a time.
This is quite debilitating to me as I am a strong walker.
I have some wind and flatulence and burping.
I am finding difficult to raise myself from the chair. It is very uncomfortable.
My stomach especially lower is considerably distended.
Many thanks.
weak abdomen due to stretching
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.
Good to know, you have no back pain.
Your abdominal muscles are stretched a bit with collection of water in between muscle due to stretching.
Its like a day after doing heavy abdominal exercises. Due to stretching and mild fluid collection, it finds difficult to contract effectively and hence is loose.
As it is not contracting like previously, you are feeling weak in the region. As I told earlier, all muscles are necessary for posture and hence your posture is affected.
Three to four days, should be adequate for it to recover. No medication necessary.
Burping and mild flatulence is due to ingestion of air during food intake and also mild gastritis. Avoid ingestion of air and spicy food.
Hope it helps.
