What Are The Symptoms Of Heart Attack?
Yes, it certainly can..
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern.
Now first of all please don't panic..
At your age (29yr/Male) along with these kind of symptoms, heart attack is very unlikely and more likelihood of anxiety and panic attack..
Still to be absolutely sure I'd advice you to go for a 12 lead EKG which will bring assurance to you also in this regard..
Can you please tell me since when are you experiencing this ?
Is this the first time ?
Any other discomfort apart from sweating and left shoulder and neck pain ?
Any breathing difficulty ?
Do you have any past history of any other medical illness ?
Any particular medication are you on ?
Any smoking/alcohol/substance consumption ?
I'll wait for these replies as it'll help to diagnose your condition in a better way.. However if it persists then it'll be better to check in to your nearest ER for a detailed physical examination and investigations accordingly (including EKG, 2D-Echocardiography, cardiac enzymes, CBC, Electrolytes, KFT, Thyroid profile )..
Please let me know if you have any further queries..
Kind Regards..
most likely panic attack..
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back dear,
Thanks for following up..
At present I'd advice you to take a deep breath and relax..most likely you're experiencing a panic attack..
However my previous advice stays, i.e. to go for a 12 lead EKG which will bring assurance to you also in this regard..
Since you've mentioned that it's not the first time so please take a moment and try to find out which can be wrong..try to think what could've gone wrong, starting from a simple change in diet to lifestyle change and several other factors..try to narrow it down at first..
If it's a prolonged acid reflux then better to start Cap PANTOPRAZOLE 40mg Once Daily before breakfast for next 15 days..
If anxiety doesn't resolve and hampering sleep then it's ideal time to start a novel Benzodiazepine drug (Tab ALPRAZOLAM 0.25mg Once Daily at bedtime for a month and see how you stay)..
However, once again I'm instructing you, if it persists then it'll be better to check in to your nearest ER for a detailed physical examination and investigations accordingly (including EKG, 2D-Echocardiography, cardiac enzymes, CBC, Electrolytes, KFT, Thyroid profile )..
Take Care
Kind Regards
