What Are The Symptoms Of Internal Bleeding In Abdomen?
Question: My six-year-old son, who weighs around 49 pounds, stepped on my three-month-old daughter's stomach on her left side. I'm not sure how hard, but it looked like there was some pressure. She weighs 14 pounds. She cried hysterically for a few minutes and has been her normal self since. Should I be worried about internal injuries or internal bleeding?
Brief Answer:
If she remains active and playful, there is nothing to worry

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I understand the cause of your anxiety. However, if the child has been active and normal soon after, there is perhaps less to worry about. Just keep her in your observation and look out for:
* Abdominal distension or a tense abdomen
* Not passing bowels
* Lethargy or not feeding well
Unless these are present, you need not worry bout internal injuries or internal bleeding.
Chances are that everything is fine and you need not get worried.
