What Are The Symptoms Of Pancreatitis Attack?
Gastritis
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
I understand that you have been having symptoms suggestive of pancreatitis and CT Scan showed evidence of ?Malignancy which the doctor is unsure of so he would like to perform a MRCP for it.
Here is what I recommend
1. To know if you are having pancreatitis the next step would be get a Serum Amylase and Serum lipase done. The most common causes for pancreatitis are alcoholism, cholesterol, gall stones, and blunt injury to the abdomen.
2. If there is ?malignancy in the pancreas then I strongly suggest a Contrast enhanced CT scan. The contrast will neatly go into the tumour and illuminate the area well which will leave no doubt. A further confirmation would be through a biopsy of the pancreas
The fact that you are symptom free typically rules out both. Patients with pancreatitis will have very severe stomach ache. What you have suffered from could be just gastritis.
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
I wish you good health
