Brief Answer:
consult gynecologist with your wife

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX

In general for healthy, non smoker, non drinking man no specific check up is required for planning a baby.

Following investigations may be done:

- Blood group of couple(to check chances of future RH incompatibility) doctor would explain more about the same.

- Tests for Thalassemia minor

- Complete blood count and blood sugar for routine health check up

- Semen analysis if needed.

Gynecologist in general is the best doctor to consult for this purpose. After detail history of couple he/she may advise necessary check up.

All the best.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
