What Are The Treatments And Assessment For A Patient With Elevated Glucose Level In Blood?
Question: My daughter is 17 and is having hypoglycemic problems cause by stress. Her pediatrician ordered blood work everything turned out great - glucose level was 97. He wants to send to her to a pediatric endocrinologist. I have the same symptoms and it is brought on by stress and I know what to do to get it normal. Would it be safe to purchase my own glucose meter and test her once/twice a day and if it's low drink juice, etc.? Both my husband and I have feelings of uncertainty regarding the endocrinologist. Thank you.
