What Are The Use Of Dubagest,Duvadilin And Ecosprin During Pregnancy?

Question: Hi,
I am XXXXXXX currently i am 21 weeks pregnant. I had a prom in my last pregnancy at 23 weeks. Doc has advised me Dubagest, Ecosprin, Duvadilin every dat and Proluton Depot injection every 10 days. Can I take all these medicines together or is this is over dosage. What is the use of Dubagest and Duvadilin and Proluton depot Injection.

I understand your concern..

All these tablets should be taken as you had previous history of PROM at 23 weeks..
Dubagest is progesterone tablet which helps to maintain pregnancy..
Ecospirin increases the blood flow to the fetus..
Duvadilan relaxes the uterus and prevents uterine contraction..
Proluton depot is also progesterone which help to maintain pregnancy....

Taking all these medication till 32 -34 weeks is important to maintain healthy pregnancy in your case..

I also wanted to know if taking Dubagest SR 200Mg and Proluton depot injection 500 (Every 10 days), where the main ingredient is Progesterone, would that be over dosage of progesterone intake. Further does Progesterone and Duvadilan taken together will have any opposite effects or synergetic effects in? Does progesterone helps in reducing the uterine contractions.

Thanks for writing..

This wont be overdose..This is a routine treatment given to all patients with history of PROM.. Duvadilan relaxes uterus.. If you dont have pain, then duvadilan tablet can be stopped after 10 days.. Progesterone supports and maintains pregnancy but if there is strong contraction it doesnot stop the contraction..

So continue these tablets till 30 weeks..
