Brief Answer:
The condition in some cases may be permanent.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Tardive dyskinesia is a rare side effect of antipsychotic drugs including Invega ( Palliperidone). In some cases the condition may be permanent. The risk of developing Tardive dyskinesia and the chance that it will become permanent is thought to increase with the length of therapy and the total dose received. There is no known treatment but in some cases it may go away partially or completely if the medicine is stopped. Stopping the Invega for sure stops worsening of symptoms.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Brief Answer:
You should taper the Invega.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again and thanks for asking. The main problem stopping Invega is returning of disease that it is used for, so there is need for a replacement, other symptoms that may happen from withdrawal are depression, pain, stress and anxiety, muscle spasticity and back pain. You should consult your son's Doctor and to discus possible ways to minimize withdrawal problems mentioned above. Best way to minimize withdrawal symptoms is tapering the drug. Hope this answers your question. Feel free to ask again if you have further questions.
