Brief Answer:
Suggest mineral oil laxatives

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Why are you not able to put effort? Do you have any other medical problems refraining from doing so?

I think it is better to take enema if it is not embarrassing to you. Without effort the stool passes out and it helps even if there is partial impaction of stool.

You can take mineral oil laxatives orally which are available over the counter Glycolax (brand). Your pharmacist can help you. Besides hydration with plain water, Bisacodyl tablets also help in passing stool without effort.

You should try one of the above to help yourself. I feel stool softener would not help.

Hope I have answered your query.

Thank you.
