Question: Hello my name is XXXXXXX my doctor had me on a series of medications she abruptly did not refill because I missed an appt.First one I've ever missed. Anyhow she had me on topamax, celexa, risperdone, metoprolol ,omeprazole, tramadol, phenterimine, ambien, transdermal butrans patches. Xanax as well but for some reason she called in that prescription. She has left for vacation and will not reply to me about the adverse reaction I'm having. I'm on day 8 with out these meds. It has been nothing short of torture. Tho I am starting to feel slightly better, my question is am I past the dangerous reactions the absence of these medications can cause?

Brief Answer:
Withdrawal effects need to be treated and medication re started/E.R consult

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Aside from omeprazole and phenteramine all the other medications you listed have serious withdrawal effects. The withdrawal severity would be greater if you have been on these medication at higher doses and for longer duration. Seizures and panic attacks are a practical possibility with such abrupt stoppage of these medication. Please consult another doctor or go to an E.R if possible to counter the withdrawal symptoms and start you back on some of these medicine based on the clinical picture.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
