What Casues Drowsiness In An Elderly?

Question: my mother is 92 pas 3 weeks she sleep about 18 19 hours per day, she wake up for breakfast and lunch and every time I go to her and talk to her sometimes she answer me some other time she is so deep sleep ,, is this normal for 92 years old?? her oxygen level is 85%
