Question: Seperate concern from previous question, So for the last 1.5 years i have had dull aches in right flank or left flank, they come and go maybe a week (counting days) out of a month ...typically goes away with bowel movement. When it first started i got checked by GP and he said stress, didnt like that answr and i went to eurologist and checked my urine and did ultrasound and all normal, so kinda just dealt with it since then, ocasionaly get same ache in front area of lower abdomen on both left and right side never at same time tho or it may be a tickly inner feeling in upper mid abdomen, again all these things seem to dissaper aftsr belching or bowel movements. Or when im not thinking of it, i also have chest pains on right and left side but never same time. These arent daily either just every now and then, i am physicaly active and doesnt bither me when working out, non of these aches do for that matter.... Freaked out one time when chest ached, anxiety set in and went to urgent care, ran ekg, blood pressure and said eveything was normal. I am afraid of colon or any other cancers as online its said thise can be early indicators, i dont recall these issues before 1.5 years ago..however since i can remeber my BM have never been consitsnt but usually after most meals since i was young..just no aches associated with it....asked GP should i get checked but due to no immediate family history, he did DRE and said not to worry until older. My maternal grandmother died of colon cancer. Mom died from pneumonia at 31 and dad died when i was 3 so dont have much family history to trace other than that all my uncles and aunts have not had any cancer issues thus far....i know it could be gas or IBS and i dont want to waste dr time from more urgent needs of patients..but dont know if im over thinking it.....sometimes it can be felt in my back as well. Bed isnt the most posture friendly and i wrk at a desk all day in front of a PC so yea.....any advice would help.....

Brief Answer:
Get yourself clinically examined and investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post,it seems that your symptoms are due to gastritis.
I would advise that you should get an Endoscopy done to confirm it.
Also get your stool examined for any infection or parasitic infestation.

You can take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 30mg.
A probiotic along with digestive enzyme preparation containing pepsin and fungal diastase after meals will help you in relieving your symptoms.
Further medical management can be planned after knowing the reports of the investigations.

Following precautions will be helpful :-
1.Avoid spicy and oily foods.
2.Avoid being empty stomach for long periods.
3.Avoid mental and emotional stress.
4.Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any.
5.Avoid self medications, especially pain killers and steroids.
6.Drink lots of water daily.
7.Avoid gas producing foods like peas, cabbage, legumes, etc.
8.Avoid eating fast and talking while eating.

I hope this is helpful to you.
If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Thanks.
