Dear Mr Dhillon
There is definitely no relationship between drug intake and any of the complaint.
Aspirin is non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and is not known to cause above side effects.
Metroprolol is selective beta blocker and does not include any of the above complaints in its side effect profile.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Brief Answer:
Thorough ENT assessment required
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings
If there is recurrent irritation and documented inflammation of submandibular salivary gland possibility of autoimmune disorder strongly needs to be considered more so if there is associated dryness of mouth.
Early morning irritation in ear could be due to Eustachian tube block. I would suggest a thorough evaluation from your ENT Surgeon.
In the meantime try following this
1. Warm Saline Gargling: To a glass of lukewarm add 2 spoon of common table salt. Rinse your mouth and gargle your throat with it thrice a day.
2. Steam inhalation: 15 to 20 minutes each session twice a day.
Do keep me informed.
Take care
Wishing you a very happy and healthy life.
