What Casues Vitamin D3 Deficiency?
Along with me, my husband had medication for folic acid (fol123) two month before we planed every time.
After second miscarriage, we both did Vitamin D3 and B12 tests. Also, genetics analysis was done for fetus. All reports are attached for reference.
I have low vitamin D3 and my husband has low vitamin D3 and B12. Doctor advised D3 (Troyvit-D3 once a week) and B12 (MBSON-SL once a day) medications for both of us for 3 months.
I want to know reason and precautions to be taken for future. We are vegetarian so kindly suggest food for both of us to recover quickly and during planning phase.
Based on my history, what are the chances of having healthy pregnancy next time.
First you both continue your treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us about it.
I can understand your concern, though.
I feel bad about your previous miscarriage.
I have worked through your history and these are my opinion about it.
-Vitamin D level is very important for a healthy pregnancy, in your case it is very low (your husband level is too low) which may be a cause of recurrent miscarriage.
-Your husband level of vitamin b12 is likewise very low which is a very important vitamin for neural development of the baby and responsible for fetal loss. It is an important vitamin for fetal cell division.
-Unfortunately, both vitamins are principally found in animal product (as you are a vegetarian) and their absorption is quite difficult.
Abide by the advices for future healthy pregnancy-
-Choose a diet rich in milk product, have curd, cheese
-Take soya product
-Fortified cereals
-Yeast extract and egg
-Both continue your medication to improve your vitamin levels
-Exposure to the sun is very important
-Eat healthy and balanced diet rich in whole grain, green leafy vegetable
-Maintain your weight, which improves your vitamin d level
-Do some yoga and physical exertion
Start taking folic acid tablets
-Do not carry stress
Please abide by this advice and continue your medication to improve your vitamin and after that you can plan your pregnancy and chances of healthy pregnancy in the future are more. (You are having a healthy pregnancy previously)
Hope it is helpful, feel free to ask more.
Good luck.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in my response.
If you are experiencing a high cholesterol level, then you can take low fat in your diet like skimmed milk, olive oil, whole grain product, green leafy vegetables and fruits and please continue your vitamin supplement and my previous advice.
Exercise and yoga are also really helpful.
Exposure to sun is also very helpful.
Hope it is useful to some.
Sorry once again for my delay in reply.
Good luck.
