All relatively new symptoms feels virus like, but worried neurological disorder/disease.
Brief Answer:
ALS or any other serious disease unlikely.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
First of all, I would like to reassure you that based on the symptoms and investigations done so far, it is unlikely that you have amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or any other serious neurological disease.
I agree with you that most likely it is like a viral infection and you would improve in a few weeks.
Regarding random muscle twitchings, they are likely to be due to benign fasciculations syndrome (BFS).
If you are very concerned, you can get needle electromyography (EMG) study done to eliminate the doubt regarding ALS.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,
