What Causes PVCs After Switching To A New Generic Drug?
Question: Hello,
I have been having no issues for the past 1.5 years since being placed on Nadalol (generic Blue pill) for an AFIb occurance (only had 3 occurances within a 3 week timeframe in my life and was cardioverted. The last month the pharmacy switched my nadalol to another generic company (Yellow pill). I have noticed the past few days PVC's, not alot but I have to admit I had/have some anxiety anytime my heart has a hiccup. like I said the past 1.5years has been great with no known PVC's. My heart rate stays between 60-65 even when i experience this double beat then pause and back to normal. I had some old pills and started taking yesterday and the PVC's have almost gone away. Is it possible the generic pills are somehow a bit different. I also have been experiencing almost like butterflies the past 2 days. My one doctor feels I produce too much adrenaline and this is why nadalol works so much better than metatropol.
1-Can generic medicine be a bit different that could be causing this?
2-Is the butterflies adrenaline or am I getting some anxiety possibly
3-I also noticed this PVC is more active after I ate a big meal. (note:Cleveland Clinic Head of electrophysiology stated my Hiatal Hernia was pressing on Atrium causing rhythm disturbances and too eat small meals) I had a large amount of pizza yesterday and more than I have had in years (it was good) so this may be an issue. need to go back to small meals.
4-I gained a few pounds but still 15 pounds lighter than a year ago, was 323 now 307 and I am 6-4 tall
5_your input on what I should do thanks, I have always been in sinus rhythm since my cardioversion 3 years ago. The Cpap and Nadalol/Nexium has kept me in rhythm
