I have gone carefully through your query but would need you to elaborate on your query. I assume that you are talking about the insertion of a Foley's catheter in the urethra. Please correct me if I am wrong. In case of females the urethra can be hard to discern and the catheter might inadvertently slip into the vaginal opening instead. That is possibly the reason of your catheter getting bypassed.
