
What Causes A Bump On The Base Of The Penis?

Question: Hello my name is XXXXXXX about 2-3 months ago a bump appeared near the base of my penis I discovered it while shaving my pubic area and it started bleeding and decided to remove it, and it slowing grew back and appears to be larger than before, and after Google search I'm concerned that I may have HVP, it has been nearly two years since sexually active, attached is a picture of said bump could you please give your professional opinion.

I read your question and i understand your concern, Bump on the base of your penis is neither HPV nor any other STD. Its a clogged sebaceous pore also called fordyce spots and google has mislead you. So no worries, popping it and trying to remove it was not a good idea. Just keep the groin and pubis hair free, don't pop, poke or pick these bumps and maintain a good hygiene. Wear loose undergarments preferably cotton and see if it helps.
