Brief Answer:
Part of the syndrome

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
WBC count is a count of the anti infection cells.
When there is a infection, their number may increase or decrease.
In a viral infection, the TLC or WBC count may reduce with either viral infection or severe infection.
So , since the child has viral syndrome, it is expected that the WBC will be low.
I suggest testing a blood culture to make sure there is no severe infection.
And as you have already mentioned, antibiotics are needed.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal
