Question: I feel extreme heaviness in body and difficult to balance. Also has spasm and body and muscle pain. I had been to 4 neurologist and 2 diagnosed as fibromyalgia and others as Parkinson's Disease. I am on Pragabalin and tried Hyberbaric therapy, antioxidant therapy and acupuncture but no effect. I still doubt the diagnosis. Can you provide some expert opinion and suggestion for treatment

Brief Answer:
Could be cervical spondylosis with spinal cord compression

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

Have you gotten a Brain MRI to look for the extent of Parkinsonism?

Are you on Levodopa therapy for Parkinsonism?

Also this problem could be Cervical spondylosis which is pinching the nerves in your neck and spinal cord. This can cause weakness and incoordination of the limbs and trunk with difficulty balancing. This is a common condition that occurs in persons of your age.

Do get an Xray and MRI of your Cervical spine especially if you have pain at the back of the neck that radiates to the shoulders and arms.

Avoid bending neck forward or lifting weights. Aaos using thick pillow while sleeping.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
