What Causes A Laceration At The Back Of The Head?

Question: My son suffered a laceration on the back of his head yesterday It did not appear as bad as it does now. It is less that an inch wide but looks deeper today. Is there anything I should do to help care for it...suck as a bandage that works with hair of the new skin? Are there more risks of infection to a head cut and have I waited to long for stiches would that even be recommended?
Brief Answer:
Hello. Deeper wound may take longer to heal
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So the problem with a deeper wound is that, it may take longer to heal. Moreover, a deep wound runs the risk of infections. I will still advise you to go to a surgeon, so that he can take a quick look and put sutures there. A tetanus toxoid may be necessary if there is no immunization in the recent past followed by antibiotics.
Thanks and regards
