What Causes A Lump In The Armpit And Fever?

Lymph node reaction
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Your fever needs an antipyretic medication (eg. PARACETAMOL 650mg) taken after food at an interval of 8 hours.
As for cold symptoms you need to take an anti-histaminic (CETRIZINE 10mg once daily at bedtime) for the running nose, soothing throat lozenges for sore throat and a cough suppressant for cough.
Do XXXXXXX warm salt water gurgling thrice daily for the time being.
The lump under your armpit is probably a lymph node reaction to your common Cold infection.. that is nothing to worry about at present and requires no medication except for a pain killer for the pain ..
It should be expected to return back to normal size slowly within the following few weeks..
I hope I answered your question and will be happy to answer any further questions
Regards

Wait until you complete antibiotic course
Detailed Answer:
Hi Dear,
I understand your concerns but I recommend that you wait until the antibiotic course is fully completed as antibiotics take an average of 3 days to exert their action.
Please continue on your medications for fever, cough, sore throat and running nose together with the antibiotic
If despite completion of your antibiotic, still no improvement then you should visit a doctor specialized in chest infections (Chest physician/Pulmonologist).
I hope I answered your question, if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion and rate the answer.
