What Causes A Lump In The Armpit?

Question: Hi,

My husband, 37 years old, suddenly noticed a big, soft lump in his under arm. it doesn't show any mouth yet. no pain associated.
please advise..

Thanks for writing back. I have checked the attached image. There are four main possibilities to consider:
* Lipoma - a harmless fatty tumor.
* Enlarged lymph node - occurs in case of some local infection.
* Sebaceous cyst - when oily secretions get collected inside
* Dermoid cyst

I would insist you to visit a surgeon to get it examined. Clinical examination is essential in this case.
