Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern,

Based on your description, it's unlikely to be a cancerous lesion. However, to ease your mind, an ENT consultation would be required. The throat needs to be examined for a possible infection. If present, then a throat swab for culture sensitivity testing should be done and antibiotics can be advised accordingly.

Lymphadenopathy is commonly associated with infections of the throat and pharynx.

Let me know if you have any further queries.

Wishing you the best of health

Thanks

I been to a doctor and he couldnt explain what the white in My throat was. White blood cell count was normal and No bloodtest showed infection. But No swaptest from the throat has been Done.

IF IT is an infection, how CAN IT Go on for so long?

What is the lumps? CAN IT be normal?

Brief Answer:
Biopsy would be needed to exclude malignancy if no other cause is found

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

Infections (both viral and bacterial) and inflammation can become chronic, hence persisting for such a long duration.

The lumps as explained earlier are the reactive lymph nodes/ lymphadenopathy associated with the inflammation response.

No, it's not normal and further investigation such as an excisional lymph node biopsy should be done if the response to antibiotics and treatment is not fruitful.

Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

I viewed the images you sent.

The clinical impression based on your history and description doesn't point to a malignancy. So an infectious cause should be looked for and treated. If the treatment is not successful then a biopsy can be advised to rule out any other cause including malignancy.

No, a doctor can not diagnose cancer with confirmation by simply examining the oral cavity. Histopathology based diagnosis is required.

Thanks.
