Brief Answer:
Depends upon the severity.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
To recapitulate: Male/*20 - wants to know what can be expected from a minor testicular bruising with little swelling and discoloration - what can expedite healing - knows ultrasound but wants to know if can not afford it....

If there is a minor testicular bruising with little swelling and discoloration - _you must be meaning swelling and discoloration of the skin of the scrotum) there are following possibilities:
- The the internal injury to the testis proper is minimal or not present, it can not do any harm to the testicle and its functioning.
- If the internal trauma to the testis is more, it can cause internal bleeding and hematoma formation. This in turn can cause gradual fibrosis, loss of sperm production and also testosterone production can be affected.
- If the trauma has caused problems only to the skin and under-surface and not internal to the testis, it will remain normal.

If you can not afford ultrasonography, it will not be done and you and your Doctor will not know what exactly is undergoing inside the testicle proper.

I hope this answers your queries, please feel free to ask for relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
